All three teams won on Saturday. It’s been a while since that has happened!
The first team chased down 243 away at Havant II to win by 4 wickets. Adam Freeman took 4-34 as Havant posted 243-8. At 54-4 it looked like defeat was likely but a 155 run partnership between Will Crossley (50) and Sunni Munir changed the game with Sunni finishing on 146 not out off 116 balls. The Second Team had an early finish only using 44 overs to secure a 9 wicket win. Bowing first they had Christchurch in trouble at 2-3 off 4 overs. Opening bowlers Riley Tona (3-16) and Dean Godden (4-25) didn’t let them recover and with Brad Cooper taking 3-12 Christchurch only posted 94. In reply Lloyd Coxall (44) looked to be leading the team to a 10 wicket win until he ran himself out ending a 78 run opening partnership with Steven Rice. Skipper Rob Leach came in to hit the winning runs. You can see the scorecard here.
The Third Team posted 235 with Conor Parratt scoring 58. That now means Andy is the only Parratt not to score a league 50 this season. They bowled Ellingham II out for 135 to win by 100 runs.
